RATES
Tracking
Tracking in my overdub space is a flat rate of $400/day with an hourly rate of $50/hour beyond 8 hours in a session (10AM-6PM) by appointment only. I am also available to engineer sessions in other spaces at a day rate of $650/day for labor only.
DISCLAIMER: the live room is intended as an overdub space for loud sources such as drums, guitar amps, bass amps, re-amping, etc. The space cannot accommodate a full live-band tracking scenario. Depending on the time of day, there is the possibility of noise bleed from neighboring rehearsal rooms so this space is not advised for vocal recording or acoustic – my home studio control room is better equipped for such tasks.
There are no rental fees associated with using any in-house equipment. If there is a specific piece of equipment desired for use during session, please specify at time of booking.
Mixing & Editing
Mixing: for outside recordings, all mixes are $400/song.
In-house mixing is $375/song for all tracks that I’ve personally recorded/engineered/produced.
Extras: mix stems, karaoke tracks, and other special exports are $20/song. Please specify what extras will be needed at time of booking for an accurate quote.
If only editing services are required, I can provide instrument, drum and vocal editing for $100/instrument group (drums, guitars, vocals, etc.). This is a comprehensive manual edit which includes drum phase correction, time-alignment and quantization, tuning and audio repair if needed. I aim to preserve as natural as a performance as possible when editing.
If the tracks were not recorded to a metronome, editing is $150/instrument group.
Mastering
Digital mastering: is calculated at a rate of $12/1-minute of recorded material (for a 4-minute song, the mastering rate would be $48.00, a 30-minute album is $360.00, etc.). This rate includes metadata organization and a streaming master. DDP files can be provided upon request with an additional rate of $50. Client must provide track ISRCs and define metadata prior to booking.
Mastering for vinyl: if you’re intending to use a plant which requires lacquers for pressing, you will typically need a special vinyl master that has different loudness, frequency and stereo imaging specifications. I can provide a vinyl master alongside a digital master for an additional $15/minute of recorded material. This is on top of the digital mastering rate.
Please note, I do not have lacquer-cutting equipment. I recommend the following mastering engineers for affordable lacquer-cutting:

There is 50% deposit required at time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable if cancelled within 10 days of scheduled session. Invoices for mixing and mastering must be paid for work to begin.
Please note: no mixes, masters, or edits will be performed as spec-work unless communicated prior to session. Up to 3 revisions for each service are included in the rates above.
